Do you think the us will ever limit population growth?

In the distant future, do you think that the United States would ever reach the point whereby couples would only be allowed to have one child?

That's actually a good question...I've never thought about it, but it could really happen. More people start to live there every year, and of course, babies get born. Then again, it evens out a bit because many people die but the people moving in change it. lol I have no idea.
