I think its wrong for one one things happen for a reason and if you get pregnant you should have it because god wants it to happen and who gave you the rights to play god and take another persons life its murder. if you dont want the child give him/her up for adoption to a family that cant have kids or they just want more so I believe its wrong!!!
I had 2 abortions I truely regret them now after those 2 abortions I have had 4 miscarraiges I did have 2 children between the miscarraiges but they had to use something to hold up the babies something I'm not sure of the name surclouge because I can not hold the baby full term and not all doctors will admit it is because of abortions but I sure do . So it easy to say womens right to choose but I think the coice should be made before sex.
Abortion is NEVER to be taken lightly, but it should be available to those who feel that they must use that option.
And it should strictly be the woman's decision. The sperm donor should have no veto. And if the woman wants to go to term, the sperm donor should have no right to insist on an abortion.
But the real question should be, why aren't abortion foes insisting on readily available birth control, which would single handedly do away with the need for abortions. Consider that question for your debate.
god made it happen? if god makes everything happen, maybe we should stop curing diseases, because maybe we're meant to die... no you cannot have it both ways, if you think people dont have the right to abort, then people should not have the right to save lives either... either god controls it all or god doesnt... you cannot pick and choose what god controls...
I do not agree with abortion. I do think that people do have a fighting chance with some situations. but.. in all reality... if it wasn't even allowed in the world.. then noone could even find a reason to do it.. cause it wouldnt' be possible.. If you don't want to reproduce use safe sex measurements to make sure you don't get pregnant.. If you are raped and get pregnant, don't just resort to an abortion, just see the good that God gave you out of that very terrible situation, It's god's choice to give you that precious little beating heart of a baby, take it in and love it, don't just kill it and let it go.. That's wrong..
If you believe in abortion YOU ARE DEMOCRATS... So then Vote Democrat, if you choose to vote..
If you do NOT believe in ABORTION.. YOU ARE REPUBLICAN.. SO.. VOTE REPUBLICAN!!!
--Just added that tid bit.. because many people don't really even know what Democrats and Republicans stand for.. they just go with whoever is voting and just vote.. I don't agree with that... If you're going to vote, do some research and really know what you are voting for, one way or the other!!--
Its wrong and should never be done! They are humans to! If your mom had an abortion with you, you would never be here. How would you like that?! So many loving families can't have children so they adopt. Put your child up for adoption if you get pregnant, don't kill an inosent life just because of a mistake YOU made. Do you knowwhat they do to the children? They drill a whole in its head and suck the brains out and yes, it can feel EVERYTHING that is going on! They are just like us, only inside of a stomach.
In my opinion, abortion is wrong. Life begins at conception. The unborn have inheritance rights, and whether the baby is delivered, or aborted, there is legal entity.
If you believe that the woman should have the right to decide whether they want to abort or not, then I think "pro-choice" is the wrong title for your beliefs. It is pro-choice in the sense that it is the womans' decision.. but nobody has the right to murder.
Murderers get put on trial, and thrown in jail because of the CHOICE they made, which shows they obviously did not have the RIGHT to do what they did - take someone else's life.
The way I see it, murder is murder. There is no way to justify abortion, just as there is no way to justify taking any other life.
In the case of rape, I believe the baby should be delivered, then the mother can choose whether she wants to keep the child, or give it up for adoption. That is the only circumstance I see fit for the title of "pro-choice."
Maybe it's just me, but I dont understand why women that choose to get an abortion should be treated any differently than people that choose to take somebody elses' life.
Im pro choice, yes I think abortion is the individuals choice, saying ABORTION IS WRONG, fine dont have one then, simple sorted. personnally I couldnt bring up a child, so bringing it into the world hating that it represents my loss of freedom, how fair is that to a baby?
just to clear something up, 'drill a whole in a babys head and suck out the brains'? are you serious? we definaltly dont do that in England, thats sick. its a couple of tablets, before it has a heart or a face or anything like that, I belive in reincarnation so to me im putting that soul somewhere else where it will be loved and taken care of. thats my choice, not preching, its up to the individual, its none of mine or anyone elses bussiness.
another thing, illegazing abortion wont stop it, just make vunerable women go to 'backstreet clinics' were criminals, not doctors just someone with a knife, will cut it out and endanger their life. thats clever.
bimjob... your answer is one of the BEST I have read on this site.
"But the real question should be, why aren't abortion foes insisting on readily available birth control, which would single handedly do away with the need for abortions. Consider that question for your debate."
this has always been my question. also, don't forget petitioning the courts for easier adoption laws.
and eleni... your answer is right on the mark also.
"I think it's a very personal matter that has no business being decided by the government or by the church."

Your thoughts on abortion?
Being homeschooled I have a lot of free time and I'm involved in a debate club. I was wondering if anyone would like to give their thoughts on abortion because I'm debating that subject in 3 weeks. I already have my thoughts and my opinions, but I'd like...
to present other views and such and I'd also like to have an idea of what's coming at me.
