Your own website?

Does anyone have their own website? I just wanted to know how easy it is to set up and have you tried to make money on your site? Is it a success for you? One more question, does it slow down your computer or anything?

Yes I have one. They are fairly easy to set up. There are lots of programs out there that are user friendly to make the site the way you want, then put in the css.
I'm not fully set up for a store yet. I have actually put it on the back burner for the moment. Yet I do know lot's of people that are successful with their websites. It really depends on the product you are selling. You need to set up something like shopping cart and pay pal. There are lots of tutorials around the net that help guide you in the right direction.
No it does not slow down your computer. Websites are usually run off a hosting server.

^ what kind of site do you have? a shop? cause I really want to set up a shop.

you can take classes like my private school offers a web design class in ninth grade

I've had a website...on freewebs...now they have templates there so its easy and no cause yea im not sure what I would sell

Rather easy. Most things are user friendly you can get a lot of things out there that make it SOOO easy if a rock had thumbs it could do it.
