Your mum or dad?

my friend's parents are in the process of having a divorce, and my friend is real confusend of who to live with?!!? she asked me who I'd choose if I were in her position...and it made me freeze for a sec!!

honestly...I'd go with my father... since he works and since I'm closer with him than my mother (my mum never wanted a daughter - she once told me that when we had a fight) but anyhoo... that comes to my question...who would you live with or who are you closer with...your mum or your dad? (tell me why and tell me your gender)

yeah my parents split when I was 4. I don't really have a close relationship, but I live with my mom. My dad pretends to want to have a relationship and spends tons of money only when I;m with him, but its very clear hes doing it for show. My mom is ok, shes strict and b*tchy a lot, but can be cool every once in a while. But if your friend is close to her dad, she should live with him. Whoever she feels more comfortable with should determine her choices. She could also split visitations too.

im a dude and I hope this decision never comes up but I would choose my mom(all my friends live near her) ...but still visit my dad a lot cause I love them both very very very (times infinity) much

Hey..well im a girl of course! An my parents split up like a long time ago and all of us..my sibilings...stayed with my mom! But in this case I would say to stick with the parent that you are closest too!! I am really close with my mom an well I would always go with her!! but go with your instincts! An hope 4 da best.

My mom because my dad never cared about me. He has his own family now though so he doesn't need me. But if my step dad is a choice then him. totally. Im a girl.

I'm a girl. I would deffinately go with my mom. me and my mom have always been close and my dad never cared. if I lived with my dad I would probably be the parent there. my mom was the one that wanted a girl after having 2 boys. I know I can go with my mom with anything and she would support me but with my dad he don't care.

I would definately go with my dad.

My mom can't drive.
Fights with me.
Can't do anything for herself, she's too lazy.
She doesn't care about me.

I'm a girl and I'd go with my dad, I'm already with him, lol. my parents were married officially until recently (they've been separated on and off for YEARS).
I would go with my dad because he can drive, he's works (my mother, she's lazy, I got that from her, not totally tho, lol), we always argue ( she can't handle that I'm growing up, she thinks that I'm trying to act grown and stuck up with an attitude when I'm really trying to hold my life together by maturing . I've takin care of my little brother since I was like 8 and he was 2. I can't remember when I got to act like an actual child for one week outside of school because of her). she's also controlling (nag, nag, nag!), but she is easier to talk 2
