*note: Don't answer the last three. Those are none of anyones business. I was just showing how ridiculous it is and how far something like this can go (with a little sarcasm added).

Someone called me the other day, rattled off their name and the company they were with, said she was doing a survey and proceeded to ask me how many people live in my home.

I asked her what made her think she could just call people, say she's doing a survey and just start asking questions like that without asking if I wanted to take part in the survey?

She said that it's her job. I told her that she needed to go about it a different way, to speak clearly and ask people if they'd like to take part in the survey..

So she started over, gave her name, company she worked for and asked if I wouldn't mind taking a survey. I told her that was better but said 'No thanks' and I hung up.

You should never do surveys on the phone. Don't be gullible. Who knows what they can do with your information?.
