I don't know why! It is annoying but funny at the same time. The other day a guy I know yawned and then he looked at me and I started to yawn along with another classmate. Haha, that was hilarious.

You inhale more air thus more oxygen enters your system when you yawn. If you see someone doing it, even on tv, your brain sends you signal for more oxygen and you start yawnning as well. That's why people yawn like crazy when they havent slept much - body needs energy and the chemical reaction to produce energy is done with nutrients and oxygen.
