Saturdays are usually the best, and then Wednesdays.
Don't do it on a Sunday.

Have a lot of stuff out on the lawn, and drive way.

& pricing, that's really your call, but people arent going to buy it if it's expensive, unless it's worth a lot.

Like tshirt would probabl go for a dollar or two, unless it's name brand then 4 dollars, sounds really cheap, but that's what garage sales are all about.

If you have comic books, make sure you find out how much they are worth before you go selling them for way less.

Oh and try to organize things into categories, like kitchen stuff, clothes, baby stuff, etc.

1. Weather- Make sure to check the Weather. Of course, this is not ALWAYS right. Who can really say what the Weather's like? Try not to have a Yard sale on a day that's not too hot or humid. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to be 'shopping' on a day that's too hot. I say that best time to do a Garage Sale is Middle Spring, or Middle-Late fall. Autumn is best though since there's not a lot of rain generally. happy

2. Pricing- A yard/Garage sale is a place where people want to get cheap 'junk', what they consider it. Even if you place an item for very cheap people will still want to haggle. The stuff you sell isn't usually brand new. A yard sale means you're trying to get rid of your clutter, and maybe make a few bucks, so don't be afraid to let things go cheap. Also, if you're selling furniture/Art, maybe get the stickers that say 'Make Offers'.

3. Layout/Display- Always put the expensive items like Furniture, Artwork, etc at the bottom of the yard, so when people are driving by, they can see the nice stuff you are selling, and they won't think all you have is clothes/toys. It doesn't really matter where you put the other stuff, but try to put everything into sections...

Good Luck...
