okay I use the messenger a lot and try not adding "@yahoo.com" at the end its either that or you need to make an id beacuse your email can somtimes not be an id if you made it before you downloaded the YIM 
if that doesnt work uninstall and download again it could be your connection try the connection prefrences on the top of your messenger before you sign in its under "messenger" try all of em first see wich one works the best

Yahoo messenger problem
Ok heres another messenger problem... I downloaded yahoo messenger and everything is ok. And then I type my email and pass and it says signing in as...my email... and as it says that above it says conecting to yahoo. But nothing ever pops up? It just...
keeps saying connecting to yahoo... And signing into ( my email) what do I do?!?!?!?
