Why do people hate emo people?

why Do non emo people hate emo peole sure people heard story's about them it does't mean they all like that most people think that emo boys are really sensitive and im really sensitive ok so please answere me back

"Emo" kids hate on other stereotypes just as much as they are hated on, so I wish they'd stop whining about it. 'Emo's hate preps, jocks, etc. just as much as they are hated on.

Well, the emo thing was over back when I left Maine...4 years ago. It is pretty ridiculous now. Why do "emos" have to be so "sensitive" about everything? Why cant they just take life for what it is and make the best out of the situation? Why do they always complain that their "life suxxors so hXc"?
People do not like "emos" for those reasons.
Oh, and because the music is SOOO repeatative and whiney.

Oh, and keep this in mind; I was once "emo" myself.

I think its because people usually associate them with depression, for instance your username is 'very_very_sad_emo_kid', and I agree with 'lanternoflight' the music is very repetative and mostly about depression and getting your heart broke. Also I think people don't like their style that much, someone told me they think its a little OTT with all the black clothes, cutting wrists, hair styles etc. I don't have a problem with 'Emo's' its just the majority of them that get on my nerves, like the ones who are always saying things like "I hate my life"I want to die"I'm ugly" and so on... things like that annoy me, most tho is when someone asks them if they are Emo and they say "I don't label myself" but on say their myspace/ bebo/ whatever page they have things like, "If you are emo copy and paste this on your page" or "100% emo", that stuff is annoying. So I don't hate Emo's in general, just the people who take it OTT.

This is just my opinion, no offence to people who disagree.

becuase they go around life alll depressed instead of enjoying life and making the best out of everything they possibly can.
I don't mind the style it's nice but I would never want to lack happiness just to have a certain name for myself.

well,people think emos ar people you cutthem selves and want to die and blah lah blah,BUT emo stands for emotional,thats why people who are emo wear a lot of bllack because therir expressing themselvesso not all emos are like that so who ever says they dont like emo peple tell them this

I agree 100% with Stephanief987! I mean seriously she's absolutely right!!! She hit it right on the jackpot lol Not EVERYONE hates emos okay? So why r "emo" people always making a big deal about people not liking them when they act the same way and hate on preps! Come on now honestly its annoying because emo people are constantly saying how there being hated by jocks or preps or watever yet I c a lot questions on here answered by emos saying they hate preps! So get over it because emos are at just as much fault as the other stereotypes! I have nothing against anyone that's emo or watever but honestly stop complaining because they do the SAME EXACT THING!

Yaaawn...so sick of this EMO stuff...all these little groups are so painful. You will all laugh at yourselves later in life...I guarantee
