Yeah I know your mad because your question about your appearance got deleted but thats what happens when people abuse privileges.
We don't censor everything, if people cant follow 12 simple rules then thats pretty sad. When you sign up for the site you are agreeing to abide by the rules, if you think the rules are so bad then why would you sign up? Everything is pretty straight forward.

1) Anything related to suicide will be deleted.
2) Any commercial solicitation will be deleted.
3) Anything related to hurtful behavior may be deleted, in our sole discretion, if the person who signs up seems to persist in trying to harm themselves.
4) Anything related to hacking websites or programs may be deleted at our sole discretion, depending on the nature of the question.
5) Anything related to acquiring bots or macros to generate online currency will be deleted.
6) Overly obscene, graphic, or bordering on profane may be deleted in our sole discretion.
7) Crude, rude, or obnoxious behavior, questions, comments or other content may result in said content being deleted, and or you account being deleted, at our discretion.
8) If you copy and paste your homework, verbatim, we will delete your question. However, help with homework is fine, just copying and pasting homework questions are not ok. A FunAdvice Advisor may delete your question if all you're looking for is the answer to the question, and not help understanding the question.
9) If your question has a link in it, we will remove it, unless it's a link to another part of FunAdvice.
10) If you post the same question multiple times, we will remove all duplicates. Please only ask a question once.
11) Anything that is deemed 'trolling' or 'flame-baiting' by administrators or advisors will be deleted. This includes the posting of controversial messages with the intention of baiting other users into an emotional or argumentative response.
12) Questions stating Can I chat, talk to me, phone numbers, etc, will be removed. We do not allow am I hot, rate my photos, send me an email questions OR answers - use the other site features for interpersonal communication or exchanging contact information.

why wouldnt you let people ask about suicide? some people really need help... they need to know SOMEONE out there doesnt want them to kill themselves. others might be asking for help with greiving the loss of a loved one due to suicide.

We do TELL THEM THAT through a FunMail after deleting the question. Done yet?

eh suicidal questions are idiotic. If you ask me they need professional help but if someone comes to me and says I want to kill myself I just tell them to go ahead and do it. 90% of the time its a bluff. the other 10% I hear nothing about so it doesn't affect me. More over, People who threaten suicide are just looking for attention, the truly serious suicidal maniacs are too busy out there doing it so you never hear from them.

And they certainly aren't on funadvice.com trying to get people to help them.

frankisdank,

I'm sorry if you asked a question asking people if you're pretty and it was deleted, but if you read the Terms of Use when you signed up (like we ASK you to do), this wouldn't be an issue.

ref: the suicide questions, we delete them and then write to the person privately, giving them hotline numbers, but we can't do much else. We're not doctors and aren't going to pretend that we are.

Now, when you run a site that's free for users, takes up loads of your time, and would make you ultimately responsible for any legal issues arising from the site, then by all means, have different rules. These are ours.

chaoticrevelation, you obviously know nothing about suicide nor have you ever worked with suicidal people or help lines. If you did you would know that every attempt to physical or verbal is always take seriously. Your percentages are all wrong. I hope your friends never need your support because they are as good as gone.

sexy1bmore, you are absolutely right .We do take these posts seriously, which is why we refer any user who posts a suicide-related question to PROFESSIONAL help We aren't doctors (although sometimes it doesn't seem like a bad idea). We definitely don't just delete their question and leave them stranded, I guarantee it.

They sensor this site for security reasons and to keep it safe from any question that they think would not be allowed.
Hope that helps a little
