I started babysitting when I was 12 and I still babysit the same kids. I started with this couple who had a 15 month old daughter, abby. first, I was just there to play with her and keep her occupied so they could get things done around the house. eventually, I was walking her to the park, and after about 5 months they trusted me well enough to babysit her while they went out. now abby is 5 and a half and I'm still her babysitter. she has a little brother, ian, who is 3 and a baby sister, paige, who is 16 months. I'm pretty much a part of this family and I love it. I also have been a 4 year old boy, nathan's babysitter since he was 2. and I babysat a girl when she was 8 and she's now 12, and I'm no longer her sitter. =[ but I watch these kids grow up and it is so special.
there was my little rant.
so the point is, if you can gain their trust, they'll let you babysit their kids.
make sure there responsible, trustworthy, and know what to do in case of an emergency first!
age doesnt really matter. a 12 year old could be more mature than a 33 year old person in this situation.
also with money you could try around $6...or maybe even $12 (there age)
if they do a really good job
I babysat at 12, but only for my next door neighbor when my mom was home. that way, when things got out of my control, my mom came to the rescue (which happened more often than you might think).
The youngest sitter I have used was 15 with a year of steady experience (3 days a week with a neighbor of mine). I pay my sitters $6/hour plus a tip and I usually order them a pizza. I have a 16 month old daughter.
its not right at alll.
sorry but I do a childcare course and a child at 12 NO WAY should be babysiting as its too risky I know its the parents choice but if I was a parent I wouldnt let an 12 year old to look after my young baby.
at 16 people should be babysitting NOT 12 I have strong views on it as it aint safe as they dont know what things can go wrong and if someone finds out a 12 year old is babysitting the parents can get in trouble as they shouldnt be doing it
HELL NO!!! I have a 10 month old son and I would never leave him with some one too young to even have a drivers licence!! what happens if something goes wrong, they couldnt even drive to the hospital!! and if some one broke in god forbid how would they protect themselves and your child!!! I dont care how mature you think a 12 year old is or how many courses they have done, they simply are not old enough or EXPERIENCED enough to deal with any issue that may arise!!
finish and klaar!!!
