Would this country ever go back to the Ronald Reagan era?
It would be so lovely if republicans could go back to their conservative roots. I know that John MCaine is right on some things but, he's deffenately not Ronald Reagan.
So, in the future, maybe...

this could be years to come who knows, I was just wondering if the Ronald Reagan generation would ever be back?

Ronald reagan was the second worst president ever, Bush is number one.

Reagan allowed our government to overrun by corporate interest. We went from a government of the people, by the people, and for the people, to a governemt for sale to the highest bidder.

First of all, this is the Reagan era. Nothing has changed. This is the result of "supply side economics."

That di*k head made people believe there is a certain way you have to live.

Everybody has there own opinions and ways of life.

He's like an American Hitler.

Yikes!!! I will just bite my tongue here. Or, maybe not. I remember when I was young in the 1970's. We were poor! Man oh man were we poor. My Dad was a very hard worker, in what-ever he did, Sometimes I went to work with him, helped him stack tires all day.

I made 11 cents.

I also remember Ronald Reagan. He touched our hearts and our souls. He stood firm for our country, He called us "that shining city on the hill", and we were. He made us smile. In a time of desperate need, he lifted the spirit of this country up.
In his era capitalism prevailed, and as the wall crumbled we got to see the failures of communism, and the fall of the United Soviet Socialist Republic.

I joined the Army shortly after Reagan leaving office, but I remember walking into his legacy. The United States Army, after years of suffering through unpopular war, and 'the draft', was being reconstructed with the same courage, and pride That I believe Ronald Reagan re-instilled in us during his Presidency. I was shipped to the front of the cold war where I would witness one of his many legacies first hand. From a guard tower Somewhere in Germany I guarded empty persian missle silo's, no longer aimed at our Cold war enemy.

Ronald Reagan told the Soviets they were wrong, and they listened.
Ronald Reagan told them we would help them, and we did.

So go ahead liberals, get out your "why I hate Reagan cue cards", and give me your best rebutle. You might believe your owns story's, but me and millions of others around the globe, friend or foe, have ours.

History will not be kind to ronnie. Yes, many like rickd, have their rose-colored-glasses view of the reagan years, but there is no doubt that almost every problem we face to day began during reagan, and has been put on steroids by bush. And he is not the reason for the soviet collapse. It collapsed under it own weight.

History already has been kind to Ronald Reagan jimahl. It is your own opinion , not facts which you base your comments on. Do you want to know what his approval rating was at his time of death? Reagan led this country during a difficult period. Dont try to minimize that. And thank you for acknoledging the fact that communism, and the removal of God helped to bring down the U.S.S.R.
