okk, 1st of all I am an animals lover and am not into being cruel and all that, if you read my profile, you will see that...I am posting questions out of curiosity sake only. ..please be nice...Thanks!
okk, I have thought about(but haven't done it)...

piercing one of my dogs ears. Nothing huge but just a tint little hoop on the tip. . Like when people pierce there babies ears, those babies dont have a choice and yes, I know it hurts, but just for a second. Has anyone ever had their dogs ear pierced? And if so, how did it turn out? Just a curiosity question...

I don't think it's wise.

The dog would end up pulling on it and ripping it out, which would be painful and open to infection.

Dog's ears have different nerves than a human - people do it, but its quite dangerous and I wouldn't suggest it.

like ichibanarky said what happens if they end up ripping it out while they're scratching their ears? babies dont scratch their ears with their feet, nor do they have long nails...

All it would take is one good playtime, or a decent ear scratching to rip it out...leave your puppers ear au natural.

I would leave that one alone. It might look cute but could be very painful for the pup.

You can do it. One of the doc's I work with did it during her dogs spay. However all of the above answers are correct. I don't think I would want to pay for exploratory just because she ate her earring. I don't think It is a good idea. but yes it is possiable.

really, dont do that
a dog is not an accsessory, its not a fashion statement
even babies shouldnt have there ears peirced
its just stupid and unessessary
dogs play around in the dirt a lot, the carry germs,
its peircing is extreemly likley to get infected
theres no point in giving an animal a peircing

In one word? Yes. It's far from necessary. The dog doesn't need it and it certainly won't thank you for it. It could end up trying to tear it's own ear off. Also infection could be a problem. And a few people might even go so far as to call it animal abuse (not my comment, by the way). If the dog scratched at its ear, the earring could fall into their ear and impair their ability to hear. It's not worth the money if it's just going to get lost, damaged or swallowed. Do your pet a favour and treat them to a new pet toy instead.
