well it is much safer then a male condom especially when applied with spermicide. you just stick it up there and dont use a male condom and a female one it is not anymore safe. what it does is it raps around kinda like a tampon but different lol. you have to have the sides stick out of the vagina so you can pull it out and stuff. hope I helped and if you need more help funmail me ~kaitlyn~
