Why does my mom treat me so bad?

My mom too treats me bad. I just got over a cold and she still won't let me go outside. I am totally better. I'm going back to school and everything! Please tell me what I should do!

Contrary to what you may think, your mom definitely has your best interest at heart. I used to think my mom was trying to ruin my life too, but I'm second-guessing that theory after some serious mental-assessment. I'll admit, not letting you go outside because you just got over a stupid cold ( not the flu, a COLD that you're OVER), is kind of stupid, but whatever, rules are rules. And no, you cannot change her mind so don't even try, people will be who they want to me, but trust me, your mom does love you. She is not treating you bad, she's just a little over-protective. Even though you won't neccessarily be able to change her rules, you can try to open her mond to different points of views and ideas. Don't whine or complain, because that will confirm her ideas that you are still a mere child. And do you know how you treat a child? LIKE A CHILD!! Bottom line, if you want to be treated like an adult, act like one. If you do your best to talk it out and she still won't hear your point of view, it's best to just abide by her rules, you wouldn't want chaos to break out. Peace!

Parents, most of the time, have their children’s best interest at heart. Sometimes they let themselves become overly protective. They don’t mean to up set you , only to shield you. You can tell that your mother is only worried about you and wants what is best for you. Maybe you should sit down and talk to her as nice as you can and say mom I love you and I know you love me and only want what’s best and that’s okay, but sometimes you have to trust me to know what is best for me. I love but I’m growing up and what I need now is for someone to believe in me. If that don’t work just be patient and it will all work. Just remember one thing though a parents job isn’t to make all the right decisions for their child but to give them the wisdom to make them themselves. I hope this helps

your mom luvs you and cares about you yes it is unfair that she didn't let you go outside but its better that you have a mom that actually cares bout you unlike some other moms...
