Why is my psp battery dying so fast?

One time I tried to turn my battery in to a pandoras battery by taking it apart when I tried to take it apart by sticking a little knife in it it made a crack noise so I stop and tried turning it on but it didnt turn on I thought I broke it I put it on...

the charger and it came on and before I tried taking it aprt it still had a bar left so for some reason now battery energy is sucking out really fast and ideas what I can do

You mean faster than usual? The PSP's battery life was never that great in the first place...

I don't know what the heck you did to it, but if you've had your PSP for a long time, rechargeable batteries tend to loose their charge after a few years of use anyway.

Buy a new battery
psp batteries are diifferent by the psp console
-the original psp has 1800 mAh battery
-the slim and lite psp has 1200 mAh so its normal for the slim and lite to have a shorter battery life.
