Why do some questions get more answers than others?

Why do some questions get like lots and lots of answers and others.. Get like one or none? Are the questions boring or something, kinda like this one?

well, if you let the questions sit then you'll get more answers.
and sometimes people dont know how to answer the question and stuff...
so be patient. :]

I don't answer a lot of questions because there are a million of the same one and people need to just look back at older questions for advice it helps a lot also people don't know the answer or just can because of other reasons

We either aren't interested in answering, are not informed on the subject, or simply REFUSE to answer (e.g. - I won't advise a 14yr old on how to perform better oral)

Some questions are just more interesting than others. I know if I see the same question over and over, I just ignore it.

Weeelll... hmmm... some people don't answer questions because they don't know how to. or they don't feel like it. Or they have an answer that seems really stupid, but might actually be true.. Oh, yeah, and what brian8you said, that a billion people have asked them already. A lot of questions are answered because it is an argumentative question, and there are a lot of opinions and argmentative people out there to match them. Whatever the reason, thats how it turns out.

I like asking and answering questions that make me think , and are helpful , not some like " Am I pretty "

dear mxah ,
I think that it depends on the oerson postting I like to answer about 20 at a time depending on what I am doing and how I am feelign if I am in a shity mood I am not going to answer a question about why some one should be living and what not becsuse given that moment in time I may not be thinking very possitive my self...we all have our ups and downs after all.

I try and give a theral answer more then anything else. I think the contence is more important then the number of people answering my self. That is just me though.

aloha
