Why doesn't he say "i'm interested"?

hello, everyone. why doesn't a man tell a girl he is interested? why, why, why?
we work together, this man praised me for my lovely dress in meeting break "in public", and asked me about my favorite color, whether I cook...etc. everytime when he was...

talking, things like I was the only one he was talking to, because he only looks at me but I was shy to Starred at him!! when he gave us Xmas gift and card, I was the only one he told me "hey, only you I dont know what to say in this greeting card." then everyone laughed but I thought that was the way he wanted to get my further attention and/or image on him. right?

things has been more than 5 months, why doesn't he just tell me he likes me?
I dont want to make the first move because I'm not sure whether he is single because there is rumor about his marriage, divorced or seperate or not, I think it's better he tells first that I would get good opportunity and situation to clarify everything. why I'm afraid to tell first? because he is our BOSS, the general manager, and I'm just the supervisor that there are many managers, story makers, in this company that I'm afraid to make problems..

would anyone tell me how to make him say "could we date?" or something like that!!
just provide some suggestion please! because I'm planning to leave this company because of my lousy superioir. think love is in the air, I dont want it gone right after my resignition.

I also think you may be reading more into this than there is. You don't know if he is married so stay away. This is valuable information and you must know this before you do anything. He is your boss and if he was smart he would not date an employee and if you were smart you would know you never date a boss. I suggest if you leave, just leave without saying a word. Perhaps your paths will cross again but for now let it go.

Just because a guy talks to you, doesnt mean he wants to date you. I think your reading more into something thats not even there! Theres no clue that indicates he likes you in any other way, then a friend/coworker type way.

thank you for your suggestion. I think I've made the right decision now. but I would find way to know his marrital status first then just see what would happen later.

I'm in almost the same pickle as you, but I know that he has been separated for 7months now... and she is living her own life! If I would've stuck back and held to myself (not talked) then I wouldn't have told him how I felt and I would be with the most wonderful guy EVER! I was listening to EVERYONE else instead of myself which I felt stupid for doing. I still feel a little awkward about him having a wife (legally), but at least I don't feel bad in some respect. I was VERY self-conscious and now... not so much because I did what I needed to do and now... everything seems to be falling into place. Good luck in the future.
