Why does junior year seem so complicated?

Pattie and George Asked by modernwinterbreeze 2 months ago, 3 answers.

I'm finally a Junior in high school now, and in the beginning, I thought I'd have more freedom my third year, though I feel tied down more than anything. A lot of students in my grade are taking extra-cricular classes, and putting way too much pressure...

on themselves. Unfortuantly, I feel as if I'm one of them. Don't get me wrong, it's a little better than last year, though the work and the whole concept of is getting more difficult. I hear it's the most demanding year in high school, and you are more underpressure, though I guess it depends on the situation. All I seem to do is worry this year, though then again, the "worrying" part isn't any different than my other years in high school. Sometimes, I wish my year would go like a breeze, and it would be done and over with. And I'm only on my third day! I feel as if I have a long way to go.

How do I have a better outlook on this, and that my year won't last forever?

My Brother is a senior, and he said when I become a Junior everything will be harder. Like he said its the HARDEST year. Don't drop out, you'll lose everything, just try your best. Do your homework maybe after school and just get it over with. And then go hang out with your friends and stuff. Andd just pay attention in class, then everything will make sense and you won't get confused and then it won't be that hard. I don't really know if that helped but I tried. Ohh yeah, and try not to put pressure on yourself:]

Good Luck in you Junior year :]

It's natural that it will seem overwhelming when you first get into it- it's a new routine you're not used to. Give yourself a bit of time to adjust first.

Also, remember to take a little time for yourself- it might seem impossible, but there's always a few minutes you can spare in a day to listen to some music, have a cup of tea, or call a friend. It's little reaks like this that help to make things manageable.

A big tip- get onto assignments the moment you get them! Procrastinating was almost the death of me at high school- when you get an assignment, map out a set amount of time each day to work on it, taking into account other assignments too.

Best of luck to you! You'll be great
