Why do people act a different race?

Ok, this is a serious question. I have a little brother and he thinks its cool to wear baggy pants that show is underpants.he talks like a gangster and it drives me nuts.why does he think it is cool to act a diffirent race?

Lol, what does act a different race mean anyways? A race is 'a group of people distinguished by genetically transmitted physical characteristics', first of all it is a social construction, secondly nowhere in the definition is a race distinguished by what they wear. It is a stereotype to say a particular race wears baggy pants and definitely not true of all the members of any race that I know of... Perhaps he likes to wear baggy pants, I mean I personally think it's a stupid style, but that is all it is, a style... Dont turn it into a racial thing...

my son did the same, years ago. baggy pants but he was so skinny that he had to belt them below his butt...lol

like ty said. just because he's wearing the clothes and talking different doesn't mean he's talking like a different race. thats just you being racist there. I'm white my brothers wear pants that show their boxers what guy doesn't. it's not a race thing. it's a style that your brother likes it has nothing to do with him acting like a different race. all people are the same no matter what skin color or where they come from.

just because someone is asking that kind of question doesnt mean they are racist loulou . Maby they have not really seen people with that kind of STYLE before no one knows just answer the question to the best of you knowledge and dont asume someone you dont know is racist.
And that is what it is. Its just a STYLE I personaly cant understand why anyone would WANT to wear their pants below their butt. But if thats the style they want then you just have to deal with it.

Well in my opinion I thinks its wrong and stupid to act like a different race. a lot of people just do it to try to be cool and fit in with friends.
