Why do people cheat?

Why do people cheat. I think that is by far the dumbest cruelest thing someone could ever do to another person. If your going to cheat on them you might as well break up with them, what is the point of keepin them around. It makes no since. Somone fill me in.

to me the most logical explanation is that they want to have their cake and eat it too. they want both people instead of being satisfied with one great person. bet you're glad to see the last of them

It is low, yeah -- I cant stand cheaters. They just aren't mature enough to end a relationship before getting with someone else. Some people love having more than one person on the go, makes me sick.

I dont like them
but theres lots of reasons why people do it...
there not being satisfied
they dont want there partner to find out
there scared that there partner will find out
drunken mistakes
they could still love the person there with
people think and feel all sorts of things
a lof of times it just one time
and then they start to get scared that there partner will find out
people arnt always ohest
and no one really wants to find out that there being cheated on.
but still...ohnesty is the best policy

your definently right its wrong for people to cheat its just astupid but heres a few resons why they cheat. some people cheat because they are tempted by a beutiful women or hansem man and they fall for it and end up cheating another thing is that they might feel like they can do better but at the same time they dont want to hurt you so they think that what you dont know wont hurt you but then you end up finding out and it does hurt you or there just total jerks and think that love is a game but they should usually try to come back because they have experienced the 80 20 rule because they had 80% of what they needed from you and they thought they they would get more with the other person but they only go 20%

I personally dont get it... whatever excuse people use for cheating, I still dont get it. If you're not happy, why not just move on? If you truly loved someone, why would you hurt them in that way? And if you dont, then why not just break up with them?

I h8 it when people cheat!!! I've never cheated and my husbands never cheated.We basically don' put ourselves in that situation.We don't have party's/go to party's/we're both honest/we don't and never will drink,do drugs including weed,and we don't smoke.I truley think that cheating occurs when they're not happy with the other person.My husbnd and I really h8 the way that his older 25 yr old bro cheats on his girlfriend he's been w/for 6 years and has a 5 yr old with her.As I said though,they ALWAYS party/drink/use weed/drugs. She in my oppinion deserves it because she's cheated on him before and after she did that he's been doin it ever since.Seriously though she's retarded for putting up w/ it.She may just be too drugged to know though.Anyways other reason is your guy lusts you not loves you,you are not doing your duties like cleaning/cooking/taking care of the kids.He lost interest which won't happen if he LOVES you.The last thing I can think of is if you have opposite gender friends that causes a lot of cheating!!! I agree. I have Cheated on my boyfriend when I was like a frshman and yeah believe me he did it back and it is the worse feeling in the world. I was with my ex for 6 years and we never once cheated it was a good feeling not having to worry about that.People are cruel and heartless and are easily tempted thats why they cheat.

People want both an adventure and a sure thing. That's why they cheat. I'm not saying I think it's ok, I'm just explaining why THEY do it (I've never cheated, but I have been cheated on).

well it can b many reasons..I hate cheaters and liars! one can be that t heir not satified with what they got..they want more than one...umm..another can be to probably fit in with their friends and then brag about it..its retarted really..

Lots of people are in miserably unhappy relationships. Sometimes they are trapped for financial or logistical reasons and sometimes they are just in a rut and lack the inertia to get out. An affair can be an attempt to find a little happiness in an otherwise dismal existance.

Because they want MORE. Like two bikes, or two cars, or two horses, etc. If cheaters can satisfy two (or more) persons then there is no problem in it.
