Why is death so scary?

Why iz DEATH such a scary thang ?!!! because tah meh it cold and dark why iz that?

I don't think that Death itself is scary, I think the fear is of not being in control.

Fear of death is nature's way of getting you to keep yourself alive.

humans can adapt perfectly 2 a,most anything and over tym we tend 2 grow attached 2 our surronudings and eviornment think of life as a big enviornment that we lived 4 our entire lives. and like any other forest or ecosystem their will b problems in our enviornment such as drought, famine, ect. think of that as da problems that we encounter in our life. now think as death as a entirely new world that we neva experienced in our lives its like a whole new unpredictable world where anythin could happen and its somethin that we all will inevitably have 2 experience sumday and it could happen at anytym and were already became so attached 2 life and we dont want it 2 end

I find the thought of death troublesome because I hate the thought of being without my family and what it will do to my son when I die. I come from a small family and once I die, he is on his own.
as far as being cold and dark, I want to be cremated. the thought of being buried gives me the creeps.lol.

Death is scary to me because you never know what will happen after death. You can't see anything, hear, and talk about anything. You're just lying there, empty. That why it's so scary to me.
