Hi, it would be very helpful if you could be honest and tell me what you think this poem tells you.

You were my world
You were everything between the heavens and earth

All these years you didn’t know I loved you
Silence kept our distance, as always, I...

still craved you

I took my chance, I told you how I felt
I felt my hearts regret, I lost it all within a glance

So immense, the oceans came crashing down,
Why can’t I be the one you call your own

Don’t you bury me, don’t let me drown, not on my own,
Not when I need you now

It burns to let go, the only way is to move forward
The flame blows out, I’m thankful you did me a favour

You and me will never be, it will rain no more
There are many treasures before me, what I now cherish tells me so

Thank you for all your posts.

I think that the poem says that you were in luv w/ someone who dint luv u, but you still want them sooo bad. but you accept the fact that they dont like u, at least not like that

THANK YOU everybody for your posts, your guesses were pretty much right, though the real story behind the poem was about a girl I know who loved this guy she knew since she was 6 years old and ten years later decides to tell him and it all ends in tears because he never felt the same way about her.

Fortunately she has found someone and they have been together for three years and they are very happy, and I'm very happy for them too.

Your probably wondering why I wrote the poem as if it were about me? well I like to put myself in other peopes shoes so I can try to understand what their feeling, so I decided to put myself in her shoes and came up with this.

Since the poem's essence has already been give away, I will just judge accordingly. It gives great imagery. You used great detail, and I felt what you were trying to say in the poem. Magnificent... It really is. And the fact that you were able to place yourself in another's shoes makes you even more exceptionable. Great job.
