Of course we know He wasn't white. Where's your proof he doesn't exist?
By the way I agree w/ amblesed and layashea. For my proof, go to my page and take the link. I have a full list of the prophecies of the savior and their fulfillments with bible passages marked so you can read for yourself.
Jesus is mt all in all.
Based on my own analysis...Jesus appears to me to be a fictional character constructed from the various Jesuses in Josephus, with a strong dose of exegesis of the Jewish scriptures thrown in - to replay allegorically the plight of the Jewish people leading up to the destruction of the temple.
That said, if there is a historical person upon which 'Jesus' was loosley based, we really don't know that he was Jewish. The earliest Gospel, Mark, was clearly written from the perspective of someone in Rome, suggesting that if Jesus existed, he was not from Galilee, but from Rome.
Yes, I hope we knew! Artists tend to paint Jesus to look a bit like their own culture - in Ethiopian art he's African, in Victorian art he was blonde, in South America he's like the people there. I think that this is a really powerful symbol of how important Jesus is to each of us. But it doesn't change the fact that he had a Jewish heritage and upbringing, and that Jews living in that area at that time were dark and usually wore beards with longish hair. Here's the reconstruction of a skull from a guy who lived in Jerusalem around the time of Jesus:
***All I know is without Jesus I would be lost with no hope - He paid the price for you and me on that cross !!***
You don't KNOW anything... and it wasn't a cross. Christianity merely adopted the 'cross' into the story, as a way to overlap and attempt to absorb yet another Pagan symbol. Of course, you won't accept or even ackowledge this, as usual.
But, that won't prevent me from pointing it out... as usual.
With the documented crucifixion of thousands of rebels again the Roman Empire (although not quite in the way normally depicted for Jesus), what makes you think that Jesus wasn't one of the many executed in this way?
It doesn't quite sound up to your normal level of well-informed criticism. I'm sure you've read it up but, unlike you, it sounds like a desperate desire to disprove anything just because Christians believe it.

I never said he wasn't executed, I said it wasn't on a CROSS. The word 'cross' is an inappropriate translation for the Greek word 'stauros' ...which means POST or STAKE.
And the 'cross' most commonly used by the Romans (St. Anthony's Cross) is shaped like a 'T' and not like the Christian symbol.

...then maybe you should pay closer attention. I've never tried to disprove Christianity, that would be pointless; and considering I'm agnostic... impossible.
I merely point out the flaws... when someone deserves it.
