Who thinks Nostradamus's predictions are true? A lot of the things he said would happen have, like the Kenndey assasination, World War I, the A.I.D.S. outbreak and many battles involving guns, tanks and planes, all un-heard of in the time of Nostradamus.

Nostradamus never predicted anything. Nobody has ever looked at his writings and predicted future events.

What happens is that after the fact people interpret his vague bizarre writings as predicting events that happened. He wrote a lot of mysterious quatrains that with a little imagination can apply to many things.

Dear iamcool,
It is a known fact that we can find a coincident or prediction that we can manipulate to be true in just about any writings. History has a way of repeating itself and futurists are very good at concluding what is to come. Has many of what was predicted come true...yes, will more of what futurists predict be true yes of course. But we must remember just as much they predict does not come true but we do not talk about those. So it isn't something supernatural it is what a good futurist does and we can see some very good ones who predict the economy, family structures etc.
Sue...good luck

what filletofspam said... it's the same way horoscopes and fortunetellers work, we pick out the stuff we like, interpret it to fit the situation, and then say it was foretold...
