If you're interested in Witchcraft, learn more about it before you attempt ANYTHING. It's not a joke, or something to play with.
Read books besides "Teen Witch."

Hey sweety. So yeah, I hope you're referring to Wiccan or Pagan beliefs. Because if you aren't and you go slipping into that sort of majik and what not, you can actually end up harming yourself. The 3-fold rule usually applies to non wiccans when they meddle with things they don't know or comprehend. Myself, I am of the Wiccan beliefs, but I do not practice because I am untrained in such things and I do not have a local coven to teach me. However, I do know that you should stick to the white majick because witchcraft is not something to mess with. You can end up awakening and bring bad spirits to you, and with a family around, I'm not sure you want that.

Anyhow, try doing some research on wikipedia and try locating a local coven if you are unsure of what you are doing. Remember. Most of the "wiccan" websites out there are phonies written by people that do not accept the wiccan thoughts and often times will not write from a non biased stand point.

Good luck sweety.

Amblessed, I don't know what kind of practice you're referring to, but Witchcraft is most certainly not evil.

In the Bible, many people point to where it says "thou shalt not suffer a witch to live."
Ok, fine, but realize that originally, it never said "witch," it said "poisoner," which is a very different concept.

Oh may head. . . First it is Magick not majik
I've had the pleaser of training from a gardinian coven and an Alexandrian Coven. . . plus guidence from Dianic, Seax and faery covens. . . I have since Converted to Christianity. . . greeneyes6969 Are you talking about Witchcraft ( Wicca ) or sorcery?
Amblessed Study up before you speak some kind words close ears. Sneakybee. . . If you release a bad spirit you were not practicing white magick in the first place.
Greeneyes I stay away from it also but some still consider me a shaman. remember a spell can be a simple as a prayer. . .
And the word is sorceress not poisoner and Sorcery and witchcraft are not the same thing. . . .
I guess I should say this. . . What does witch craft mean? . . . . WISE Craft or Ways of the wise. . . Study Amblessed and you will be blessed. . . . do not speak without knowledge. . . .

Rnealw...you're speaking from a Wiccan standpoint. Wicca and Witchcraft def. aren't the same thing. They're just not. Wicca is a religion, Witchcraft isn't.

And as for the Bible verse, it's entirely possible one translation did say "sorceress," but I have a Bible translated straight from the original languages, and it says "poisoner."

One last thing..."majik" or "magick," who cares?

underwaterophelia the word is kashaph. . . . it means Sorceress. . it is talked about in Depth here. . . http://members.aol.com/RawnaMoon/bible.html
And if you will Study your old Anglo Saxon you will find that Wicca is a Wise man, Wicce is a wise woman.
I left the old way years ago and have a very good education in it. I speak from an Old Way point of view. . You are speaking from a Neo-pagan point of view. The Title of Wicca referring to the religion was not used till sometimes in the 1950, The religion is older than that. when you refer to witchcraft you speak from a Christian point of view. . . where Witchcraft and Satanism are largely seen as the same. I speak from an older view where Witchcraft predates Christianity and Satanism was born out of rebellion to the Church and took on a corrupted form of witchcraft which is not truly witchcraft but a mockery of both Judao religions and witchcraft combined.
Witchcraft is a religion. a very old religion. . . it is considered the first Polytheistic religion on which others were based. . .It does not predate Monotheism.
I'm Well versed in the Old way, I'm also Well versed in the Bible.
Harry potter based on Witchcraft? Maybe Neo-paganism but not Witchcraft

Haileybre, your opinion on my poetry is irrelevant. If you'd like to tell me what you think of my poetry, perhaps a funmail or private comment would be more appropriate.

As for you comments regarding how I can believe Witchcraft isn't evil: Not everyone is a Christian. You might have to broaden your horizons a bit.

Hailbre. . . I Am a Christian firm in my beliefs. . . I understand Witchcraft better than most. . . it is not evil, it is simply incorrect. the Religion has a bloody past true much like your Judeo religions, and it has been changed over time like Judaism. The religion today is very peaceful, But I still consider it incorrect. . . . Besides if you call it evil you have to include Easter & Christmas - Both Christian holidays meant to replace Sabbets. We just happened to get both from the witches. . .
When you put up your Christmas tree remember the Yule log. when you put up your Christmas lights remember you are calling back the daylight. . .
Easter bunny and eggs- fertility symbols.
I find the word evil is used so often simply to discribe something we do not have an understanding of. . . .

Honey Will charm the Heart over Vineger. What kind of results would Paul have had on Mars hill if he had gone in shouting how evil it was. . .
Think about it. Will it get me far with someone of another faith to call there faith evil or to aproach their faith with understanding of it and us that understanding to my favor as time passes.
