Don't go to the movies - doesn't give you the chance to talk and get to know each other
Don't go out for food - do you know how awkward it is to eat with someone you don't know that well?

Go somewhere fun - Like bowling, miniputting, etc.
Somewhere that you can talk and enjoy yourself at the same time.

movies and food are generally the safest ones (and I like to stick to them)
but if you like activities, ice skating, bowling, out on those paddle boat things, those paint ball shooting places
just places you can hang out and maybe lose that first date awkwardness thing...

go get some food, then maybe bowling, ice skating, arcade, movies (if she's comfortable with that & don't make a move unless she hints she wants you to!) things like that, whatever you t wo are into.

I say go to a roof top or a park at night usually nobody there if date sucks you can say its kind of late and its dangerous out however if date is awesome your alone and its just really cool the unexpected make sure to buy food before you get their take out usually good cooler idea delivery they might not take your oder serious since youll be in a weird place so just keep tryn also DONT EVER TAKE HER TO A PLACE THAT YOU TOOK ANOTHER GIRL IF SHE FINDS OUT OR SOMEONE SPILLS THE BEANS YOUR MOST LIKELY TOAST! FRENCH TOAST!

I agree---the dinner and a movie thing isn't a good first date. why? how are you supposed to get to know each other when you're not supposed to talk during a movie?

and yeah, it is pretty awkward to eat with somepone you don't really know.

do something fun. DO something fun. you have to get creative sometimes, too. I love weird crazy dates. they leave a lasting impression. for ideas, try watching some movies with people that go on dates and then maybe recreate or slightly tweak those?

it's worth a shot!

Obviously going to the cinema or eating at a restaurant is quite good, although some people prefer more active choices such as bowling, ice-skating or even crazy golf. Crazy golf can be fun, because you don't have to be good at it and it gives you a lot of laughs and opportunities to talk. But if you prefer to do something to get to know the other person, even just a walk around a park, forest or nature walk is good, mainly because it's a natural environment in the air and it has more of a positive effect on your thoughts. In the end, it's best to choose something you'll both enjoy, because it won't be a successful date if one of you has to do something you don't like doing. Good luck and have fun. =o)
