Where to find used cars in san diego, craiglist.com or other?

Jeremy Goodrich yep, that's me Asked by thedude about 1 year ago, 2 answers.

A friend of mine had some car trouble recently in san diego, and I thought I'd do him a favor & ask the community for some help for him. He doesn't have a computer at home where he can search for stuff, and he can't use his work computer to search for...

cars online or browse classified listings.

In this case, would the yellow pages be best? I don't use anything but the web to find stuff, so it's hard for me to put myself in his shoes - thanks!

Sorry to hear about your friend. I'd advise him to check out a CPO (certified pre owned) car, or if he can, check out craiglist used cars on a friends computer. The yellow pages, imho, aren't very useful to find something like a used car. There are tons of online listings in any event, autotrader.com is also pretty handy.

Hi, Dude,
I think the best way for your friend to buy a car is to be informed by going into a Crown or other bookstore & buying a book which compares different brands, gives detailed features, costs, comparison, etc. Once he knows what make & model car he wants. He can figure out what he should actually pay. Then, when he goes into different car dealerships he will know what he should be paying for the car & features he wants. I have done this several times before I had the internet. I got exactly what I wanted at a great price (no ripoffs), and the salesmen were really surprised (more like shocked) at how well informed I was. I am a woman, so salesmen naturally assume that a woman doesn't know sh*t about a car. I hope this helps your friend!
