Brooke is incorrect, check snopes.com in reference to things found in ball pits, and it's just a scare tactics anyway.
Feel free to take them to McDonalds, or Chik Fil-A or Chuck E Cheese, or maybe pack a lunch and take them to a local park with a playground. Kids love playgrounds and since there will be other kids around they will play for hours, you might even be able to work in some adult conversation with some of the other parents as well (if you're single this can be a great conversation starter with the single mother there... always look at hands lol). You can also see what activities are going on in your local newspaper. The zoo, or a park or playground or some church function , maybe fishing in a local pond ?
I know it sounds like a lot of work, but my husband and I have 7 kids combined onw eekends. Yesterday we took them all fishing at a pond and a great time was had by all =)

Where is a good place to take children?
My two young nephews are going to hang out with me and I want to know where a good place to take children would be? I don't normally get near children because I think they give me a rash (joke) , but I need a place to take two kids ages 3 and 5. They...
are smart kids and very quick so I am going to see if my brother has leashes for them and maybe helmets (joke once again).
Seriously I need a good spot to take children. Chuck E. Cheese or McDonald's playland? Any advice for me?
