What do you do when you can't cook, but you still want to eat something healthy? I try to cook our meals most of the time, but don't always have the time. How do you deal with these times? What kinds of places do you eat out at?

Subway has some fairly healthy choices if you leave off the cheese and fatty condiments. Macaroni Grill now has whole wheat pasta. I'm a fan of Chipotle, I think their food is pretty healthy though their big burritos can top 1000 calories so if you are watching calories you should probably make 2 meals out of one. Some Chineese restaurants serve steamed entrees that are low fat compared to their stir-fried offerings.

Many small restaurants are happy to cater to your requests for healthier food. Some Tex-Mex restaurants will serve plain beans instead of refrieds on request and instead of gorging on complimentry chips I ask for a stack of corn tortillas to go with my salsa. I order my pizzas without cheese since that is the source of most of the fat in these pies.

Plan ahead! Use a slow cooker when you know you won't have time to cook. They are becoming more and more popular again. And, you can get lots of very good recipes for them.

YOU DON'T NECESSARILY HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO COOK TO EAT HEALTHY, YOU CAN PREPARE SALADS OF MANY KINDS, JUST BASICALLY THROW IN THERE WHAT YOU LIKE TOGETHER, FOR EXAMPLE, LETTUCE, SOY BEANS, OLIVES, TOMATOES, HARD BOILED EGGS, CROUTONS, CARROTS, AND WHATEVER ELSE YOU LIKE, AND TRY AND USE ITALIAN DRESSING OR EVEN LEMON FOR FLAVORING. SOME MORE SALADS ARE SEAFOOD SALADS, IMITATION CRAB, LETTUCE, RED CABBAGE, ORANGES, AND MMM... I AM GETTING MY SELF HUNGRY. WELL PLACES TO EAT OUT ARE SUBWAY, SWEET TOMATOES, CAUSE THIS WAY YOU CAN GET WHAT YOU LIKE AND STILL BE EATING HEALTHY. WELL GOOD LUCK, AND BY THE WAY I WISH I COULD COOK TO, BUT REALLY WHEN YOU KNOW HOW TO COOK YOU WANT TO COOK TASTY FOOD RIGHT WHICH ENDS UP TURNING OUT QUITE UNHEALTHY WHICH IS BAD, SO JUST TRY TO LEARN HOW TO COOK BY BUYING LOTS OF VEGETABLES AND FRUITS, AND CHICKEN.

By learning to cook. As a matter of fact, eating out generally means eating too much
or at least unhealthy.

Okay, let me rephrase the question. I know how to cook. How do you eat healthy when you can't cook because you don't have time? You know...on those busy days.
Thanks!
