Hey I was wondering what the deal is on Anorexia? Why do people want to be anorexic so bad? How much do they eat? Do they completely fast or just have tiny meals? How long does it take for them to lose weight? When is it weight loss apparent? I am not looking to become anorexic, a that is gross and very sad, but I am interested to learn more about the disease!

It is OBVIOUS by your long list of questions (and another recent thread of yours) that your interest in this subject is more that just simple curiosity.

Anorexic people do not eat so their body starts to eat away at itself, when there is no more fat left to be used as nutrients, your body will eat away at your muscle mass so you are literally skin and bones.

People dont necessarily want to be anorexic so bad, the people on this site who say they want to be dont really understand what it means to be anorexic...
I think what people want is to be skinny (or cool which is just sad), which is the definition of beauty in most parts of the world today. Anorexia is not beautiful, it is a disease. People who are anorexic may be skinny, but they dont see themselves as skinny... they are not happy with the way they look... who wants to be starving AND still believe you're fat and ugly, still hate the way you look?
It depends on the anorexic on how much they eat... but the answer is not much... and again it depends on how much you weigh on how fast you lose the weight. Although remember your body slows down its metabolism when you stop eating... So its not as simple as all that...

why are you so curious about the disease? I was curious about the disease and I wanted to know how they lost weight and what they ate and then it was like a trap. It got my attention and now I practice things that they do and I tell myself that I have control. I never wanted the disease, I just wanted to lose weight. That's how it all starts. Anorexia is an eating disorder that can kill you, don't get so curious that you get caught up in it. It's better not to know, unless you want to help those you have eating disorders, not learn from them.

I eat enough for survival but not too much to gain weight, sometimes I fast for days. Sometimes I can drop more than 1kg (2.2lbs) a day, sometimes it takes a while and I stay at one weight for a while then bam the weight starts dropping.

most people who ask how to be anorexic really don't understand you can't decide to get it short-term as a way of losing lots of weight fast.
it's a mental illness that is developed and you can't just stop.
people don't realise the hell of living with it everyday minute of everyday is like.

how much anorexics eat varies.
some fast for days or wks.
some eat very small amounts...like maybe 200 cal's per day or every few days.
but there are some who eat for instance 1,000 cal's per day and burn more than that per day with excercise.
of course it can depends if they live alone or with other people and if anyone if forcing them to eat due to knowing about their anorexia.

the amount of weight and how fast they lose it varies too.
it depends on how much they eat, how much they excercise, their metabolism...on lots of things really.

when people notice the weight loss...I guess that varies too.
people are built differently.
some hide it for years, but some get noticed in mths.
