'Give our regards to Judy and the boys' sounds good to me.
Go for whatever sounds like you, if it's a personal note!
Grammatically speaking, the send/give regards to Judy and the boys is probably most formal (I just don't like 'correct' it infers normalcy and inferiority! Woo for the college activist in me, right?), however 'we send our love to Judy and the kids, too!' is more personable! Rock on
I like: 'Please say Hello and give our best to Judy and the boys'
Why do you have to be so proper?
I agree that you should be yourself and say what you would normally say in person. Maybe it would be something as simple as 'Say Hey to Judy and the boys too'.
It is a note to my husbands extended family. They are millionaires. They speak that way to me. I went with 'Say hi to Judy and the boys for us'. I am not a terribly formal person, but I always go by the 'when in Rome' rule with aquaintances.

What would be a grammatical, formal way to say this?
I am writing a letter and I want to be more formal than 'Say hi to the wife and kids from us'. Would it be proper to say 'Give (or Send) our regards to Judy and the boys.' ?? For some reason this sounds strange to me. (Probably because I am a hill billy
