they are like humans... we are the same species yet none of us looks the same..

another reason they look different is because there are different BREEDS of cat.
same species. different breeds. Thats what breeders do, mate slightly different types of cats to get different genes, and nowadays the gene pool is so mixed up, lotsa cats look totaly different.

I was wondering the same thing because most typical cats are like short furred and stuff. But some looks like GARFIED. fat. and I have one that's super fluffy

All housecats are the same species...only the "breeds" are different...you probably have a mixture of many breeds...Domesticus Alleycatus...
