I want people to stop talking to me about the rape

its been almost 3 months since I told someone that I was touched and now the police are getting involved. but now I want to move on with my life. I only have a few select people that I will talk to bout it. I was told by my mentor that people get raped...

all the time and they dont report it. I just told someone and now the police are invloved I just want people to stop talking to me bout it. waht should I do.

The police NEED to get involved so the person that did it can be punished. Having that person punished will give you some closure about it all, you need to stick with it. This is going to be with you forever unfortunately.

The police need to be involved if you let this person go he is just going to keep doing it to girls. You were unfortunate for it to happen to you but you could change other girls lives by letting the police help.

kayonmangement---you have NO idea what you're talking about.how a girl (or guy) handles being raped is totally up to them.  it's a very personal thing.  if lilgigi4sho doesn't feel comfortable talking about it or persecuting the guy, then that's her way of dealing with it.  we're not all the same.  for me, I would have to talk about it to get rid of it.  for her, she needs to bury it.  to each his own.lilgigi--you have got to go to the source.  go to your friend and talk to her about how you're feeling about her getting the police involved.  she probably should have at least notified you first if she was going to tell them.  she had your best interests at heart tho.  go to her and just tell her you don't want to deal with it anymore and ask her to stop talking about it.  stay polite.also, the police really can't do much without your consent.best wishes.

awww sweety I know how you feel I was raped four days before chrismas last year and I just wanted to get on with life and forget it but my fiance got the police involved if you really dont want the police involved tell them so they cant make you talk especially if you didnt ring them yourself its going to be hard for a while darl I know because the outside world still scares me everyday but im finally starting to take control of it and get on with my life try not to let it take over darl and tell the police if you know anything about the guy that done this to you then tell them to bog off good luck sweetheart my heart and thoughts are with you x
