So nervous about starting my period

ok, I am so nervis. im gonig down to gorgia this weekend,and im on my period, =( I JUST started, and it is SO freaking heavy, I dont like to tell my mom cause then she'll start to act like its the end of the world. then I'll think that its the end of...

the world! the problem is that I cant tell my mom but I cant really handle it very well yet! what should I do???

take lots of pads (buy the overnight kind, they're long and thick)
change every couple of hours (whether they need to or not, better safe than sorry)

Just take lots of tampons and pads.
Why would you or your mom see it as the end of the world? Its not like you woke up and was like "Oh period come visit" and BAM! it showed up.

WELL JUST SIT DOWN AND TELL HER THAT YOU ARE GONG THROUGH CHANGES AND THAT YOU GOT IT ALREADY. HELPED FOR ME!!!

Dont be so worried about it.Your mother has gone through this before,shes not going to be mad,or grossed out or anything.She knows exactly what your going through.
So Make sure you pack lots of pads,and Tampons,and loosen up a bit.No worries

I agree with everyone else, your moms a women too, she'll understand and even be able to help you.

lol she cant be as bad as my mate's teacher. she told her teacher when she first got her period in yr 7 and the teacher yanked her into the teachers lounge and announced that she'd just become a woman! ha lol
