I've heard about a diet that involves drinking green tea. What do you do with it? How does it help lose weight?

I never heard of a diet called the green tea diet. Recently some research indicates that green tea may raise your metabolism slightyl (4%) which may help dieters loose more weight. The anti-oxitants and phytochemicals in green tea are also thought to have other health benefits.

From what I heard on the mall today, the EGCG, a superantioxidant helps with weight loss. I received a pixie and free bottle of water from them --- the website is greenteahp.com

Mate-tea (which is not really from the tea-plant) contains a substance
which helps agains hunger.
Other teas may simply work because the water keeps you from getting
hungry (for a short time, at least).
