I honestly like Drupal. It is easy to install and has the ability to be customized.

I have asked myself this questions for years now. I tried several incl. Drupal, I also wrote my own (see dmoz) but in the end I grew lazy and settled with Wordpress: http://wordpress.org/

I made a long list of things I wanted from a weblog and wordpress offers all of them, most by plugins which are easy to write, see: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/

After you go through the plugins you probably will end up with Wordpress also. See http://www.cogmios.nl for my weblog under Wordpress.
