What places in chicago will hire me? (I'm 16)

I am going to be 16 and I am considering to get a job. I do not want it to be in any fast food department. I would rather work for a smaller company like a book store or animal shelter. Do you know any places that will consider hiring me?

Nothing at all wrong with a fast-food starter job (a lot can be learned)....being as you're in a very large city I would think the opportunities are definately out there....sit down with that Chicago phonebook, be polite and ask.....maybe start in the yellow pages under 'book stores' or 'animal shelters'.
