What is your opinion on john lennon?

I've been a fan for years, though some people love him, some people hate him. I like him a lot because his music is inspiring and good to listen to, but there are others who have different opinions. Some say he was a communist or some nature like that....

I think that his music is great. In his personal life, his actions ranged from great acts of kindness to acts of cruelty. As far as his politics go, from reading the book "The Revolutionary Artist," he seems to have identified mostly with anarchism and socialism.
