What is this "fau" user and why do other people's q's show up there

piano Asked by pinkpearl 10 months ago, 4 answers.

I've seen in the past week, many questions have changed to the original poster being called "fau" -- is it some type of bug? Then the real name thanks everyone at the end of all the replies.

'Fau' is a bit like the Funadvice Robot. It is a default name for people questions asked by deleted accounts.

And the other thing - some people want to ask questions anonymously. In our system, a question has to be asked by a member, so if you anonymize your question, it's not in your account anymore, but mapped to the "fau" member.

Great idea - the anonymous thing. Stops us all from having to have several personalities!

I wondered the same thing untill just a day or so ago. I thought that this Fau guy was just a guy who liked to ask provocative questions. Thanks for asking the question Pinkpearl.
