What is this bump thing?

Asked by annonomus about 1 month ago, 12 answers.

Ok I need to know if this is serious or not. A few minutes ago, I noticed that there's a little bump like thing that kinda "moves" when touched. It's close to my vagina *at the very top... like diagional from my left hip, down a few inches though* WHAT...

IS THIS?! Is it part of my body or what? I've not noticed it before since I don't really feel around there. I noticed it when I went to itch my hip my hand slipped and I felt it and freaked out. It doesn't hurt at all anywhere near there. So what is this... is it something bad like cancer or a tumor... or some other health problem? I hope not =/
I'm 17... so my body's still growing yes? So is that why?
Any help is apperciated cause I'm scared now =[

What's a skin tag? And also, the bump thing isn't noticable to the naked eye. My skin and stuff still looks pretty much normal. It just feels like a rounded bump that kinda moves when I touch it.

Maybe it's some sort of genital wart? Or if you shave over that spot then it could be a razor bump...

Well, maybe you should go to the doctor to get it checked out.

To mysterywolf - I don't shave "down there" so it's not razor burn or anything.

And to colethky - well I don't exactly want to go to the doctor for it due to where it's located =/

maybe it's your clit...it is sensitive when you touch it?
if so then it's you clit...if its tight at the top of your vagina then yes it's your clit...
and if it's none of thoose then go see a female doctor she'll tell you.

Ok the bump thing is right by the very top of my vagina *where the hair starts after your stomach/abdomen* so it's not technically ON my vagina.

Ok so I was looking around the internet for some info on "female bodys" and some problems that may occur with them. Soemthing called an Ovarian Cyst caught my eye. Here's the info that was given about it -

Ovarian cysts are noncancerous sacs filled with fluid or semisolid material. Although they are common and generally harmless, they can become a problem if they grow very large. Large cysts may push on surrounding organs, causing abdominal pain. In most cases, cysts will disappear on their own and treatment is unnecessary. If the cysts are painful, a doctor may prescribe birth control pills to alter their growth, or they may be removed by a surgeon.

So could this be what it is? And since it feels pretty tiny... it's on that'll go away on it's own with no doctor needed?

It could just be a clogged up oil gland. If it doesn't drain out by the end of the week then get it checked out, ok?

Ok thanks... I'll leave it go for a week or so and if it's still there and not showing signs of going away/getting worse, then I'll tell my mom I need to head to the doctor's to get it checked.
Thanks again to everyone who help

Yea there's a pretty fair chance that it's just a cyst and that it'll go away on it's own... or, like mysterywolf said, it's a clogged up oil gland. If it doesn't clear up within a week or so, do as you said and go get it checked out just to be safe! Keep an eye on it and if it gets worse or bigger, go get it looked at sooner.
