Whistle register is an awesome gift to have.

If you don't already have the ability to sing to an E... you most likely won't have it "soon". It takes years and years of practice and vocal exercises to get to that point.
I like to think of whistle register sorta like a male's falsetto. (although men can have both falsetto AND whistle)

You should contact a vocal coach or teacher in your area. Reaching the whistle register improperly can do some major damage to your vocal chords.

You may need to change the key of the song maybe a half step or a whole step(or two) depending on the highest note you can easily attain. Nothing is more embaressing than trying to hit a note that is hit or miss with you...and missing it during a performance. (and ending a in a flat toned screech)

I sang a solo version of Phantom of the Opera in high school and got a standing ovation. The last note is pretty anticipated by fans of the song... so if you can't hit it I suggest finding a another song... and practicing POTO for a future performance.
