Well some people here get a bad reputation if they have sex under 18, but I'd say about 75% of teens ages 14-16 already had sex. In my opinion if you are ready for the concequences then you should be allowed, you just need to take responsibility if something does happen. I also think it's o.k if you and that other person truely love each other and plan to me together for a while. But everyone has different opinions.

I think its when ever your ready and as long as that person is comfortable with it and knows for sure what he/she wants out of it then any age,but people my age tend to be immature and do it for the wrong reasons like harmones which could be very tempting but if its not for love then they shouldn't. That's my theory

Legally, 18, or for the ideal, when you're married. But that doen't happen too often in today's society. I guess it varies, but 14 and under is too youngg, 15 is pushing it. But that's my opinion. And it also depends on how long you've been seeing them.

WELL I WAS 17 BUT KNEW FROM RIGHT AND WRONG BUT ON THE OTHER HAND MOST people DON'T UNDERSTAND "SEX" THEY THINK "OH THAT WON'T HAPPEN TO ME, I'VE KNOWN HIM FOR ALONG TIME". I JUST WANT TO SMACK THEM. I WAS DATING MY BOYFRIEND FOR 3YRS AND STILL MADE HIM GET TESTED. THE WORLD IS NOT SAFE FOR ANYONE AND I EVEN WENT AND GOT TEST FOR HIM. IF THAT PERSON REALLY CARES ABOUT YOU THEN THEY WON'T HAVE A PROBLEM GETTING TESTED. IF THEY DON'T WANT TO THEN THEY ARE HIDDING SOMETHING. AND DON'T LET THEM TALK YOU OUT OF WHAT YOU WANT. IF THEY SAY NO THEN WALK AWAY.

I find this question very interesting, but I find the answers even more, because whenever a young teen comes here saying they are ready for sex, and asks if its going to hurt, and what to expect> advice is given. I'm talking 13, 14, & 15 yr olds asking. So how can the majority of you people who answered this say 18 is the right age. I'm always the one getting the negative comments about my feelings towards abstinence for young teens! As I always say, "no one has ever regretted having waited.
I commend you for still being a virgin, whether it was planned, or you just havent found that special girl yet.
