Looking at life from a natural selection point of view the purpose of life is to survive and to pass on favorable traits.

Any meaning beyond that is our own invention.

WELL, IT'S REALLY A QUESTION,WHO ASK THAT QUESTION MEANS HE IS MATURE ENOUGH TO CONSIDER SOMETHING THAT REALLY COUNTS IN THIS WORLD ,I HAVE PUZZLED ABOUT THIS QUESTION FOR SOME DAYS TOO.MAYBE DIFFERENT OPINIONS FROM DIFFERENT PEOPLE ,,,AND I HAVE BEEN HUNTED FOR ANSWERS TOO BUT NOW I JUST TELL MYSELF ,LIFE IS SO GOOD ,I HAVE NO REASON TO BE UNHAPPY ,NOTHING IS MORE WORSE THAN THOSE WHO DIED IN THE EARTHQUAQE WHICH HAPPENED IN CHINA IN THE LATEST,SO ALIVE AND CHERISH THE TIME TO DO SOME THING OF SIGNIFICANCE TO YOURSELF ...THAT IS THE FIRST STEP ,AND WHEN you FIND you are STRONG ENOUGH TO TAKE SOME RESPOSIBILITIES..U'D DO SOMETING THAT IS GOOD TO THIS SOCIETY AND EVEN THE WHOLE WORLD ,,,THIS IS MY VIEWES AND IT GUIDE ME NOW...HOPE IT HELPED...

The shortest answer to the meaning of life is to do God's will. God created us as the earth's caretakers. Managing the earth requires that we imitate His qualities of love, justice, wisdom, and power, just as Jesus Christ did. Displaying those qualities to the best of our ability in all we do will result in a the joy of a good relationship with God and neighbor and strengthen our confidence in his promise of everlasting life!

There is no meaning to life unless you assign yourself.

Personally, I'm content to live a meaningless life and simply take in the experience. Life is worth living to me even without some overriding meaning assigned to it.

That is an age old question with many many different answers. For each and everyone of us who exist here on this planet the answer is different. Life' only meaning is to Live in the moment, Love unselfishly and never stop asking why.
