“The Federation of International Volleyball”, “United States of America Volleyball”, and “Association of Volleyball Professionals” state that the net’s height should be 7ft 11 5/8in for men and co-ed mixed sixes, and 7ft 4 1/8in for women and reversed mixed sixes. The official height measurement is made in the centre of the net and the height of the net at the sidelines can be no more than 3/4in higher than the official height with both sides being equal. If you're playing on sand, these measurements are all made with the sand raked level; no accommodation is made for your feet sinking in the sand. If you're playing on grass, the measurements are made to the ground, not the top of the blades of grass.
