Its a theory of how the universe was created.

Summary:
Since its been proven that the universe is expanding, we can asume it was once smaller. The big bang suggests that all the mass in the universe was once about the size of an atom and then there was a 'big bang' that pretty much got the universe started.

Well thats off the top of my head so its probably full of flaws.

the big bang theory is a theory of how the universe was made, according to the big bang theory the universe had a small area in which exploded and all the gases expaned and came to gether of billions of years to make stars, planets, galaxes solor systems. Also I believe that it states that the universe is still expanding. if im wrong on any thing don't hold it to me lol

I still dont get were everyone got the information about it being about the universe being created. I was taught that the big bang is another myth about what happened to all the dinosaurs, when a giant meteorite suposedley fell to earth killing them all...of course its not hard to tell that that suggestion is false. but I've never heard it was abbout the universe being created, untill a few weeks ago when everyone started saying it

The Big Bang is a theory explaining how the universe got to be the way it is today. The mass extinction of the dinosaurs has several other theories, none of them have ever been referred to as the Big Bang.

The big bang theory is a way for people to understand and see the way the universe is and works. It use to be that it was meant for purposes of explaining the expansion and beginning of the universe but further revision led to the model.

Teachel when ever you call something a theory in science, you adhere to it's validity. The Big Bang theory is a scientific model for the origins of the universe, and cause of the inflation. It created all the matter of the universe.

I was taught that too, but your mistaken, that wasnt the big bang, it was some meteor crashing onto earth and making a bunch of dust that killed the plants so the dinos died.
