What is the best way to monetize a blog?

I have several blogs and have been desperately trying to monetize them, but I have not been very successful. I make a few bucks doing sponsored posts, but other than that, what is the best way to make money with a blog?

Though keep in mind, when monetizing, the more ads - the greater the user abandonment, and the less ads, the greater pageviews, etc, numbers. So do some testing & tweaking till you find a balance you're comfortable with.

I have Adsense ads up on my blog, but I don't make very much with them. Maybe get 10 clicks a week! I've moved them around a lot, but I never get any results. No luck at all with anything except sponsored posts.
