Well in the USA, Maybelline often clumps (at least for me) But I do like Cover Girl volume exact mascara. I'm not sure if they have that in the U.K

none of that stuff that says it will curl your lashes 20% more or whatever actually does that. it's all crap. just get the good ole greatlash by mabelline. (and it's all in how you use it, not what product, really).

ok, application hints:

-don't "pump" the wand in and out of the tube. it introduces more air to the product which dries it out creating spider eyes.

-wipe off the wand in a peice of tissue and then use it to apply on eyes. (trust me. try it)

-wiggle back and forth at base of lashes and then pull straight up. don't wiggle at the top.

I know not to pump it, it pumps in bacteria from the air too and it can lead to eye problems :O

Thank you for all the advice so far!

Try Benefit Mascara - Ok its expensive, but I tried my first 4 years ago and have been buying there Mascara ever since! you got to look after your eyes and cheap mascara will always be cheap!

I wear mascara everyday as I have very blonde eyelashes, and sensitive eyes - so if its your birthday/chritmas ask someone for a benefit Mascara and see if you like it

If you have thin lashes, YSL false lash effect is the one for you, otherwise if you want to just enhance naturally thick lashes, Maybelline define-a-lash is great.
I always use a lash comb to separate after applying three coats, and a clear mascara to set it and add more curl.
The way you apply it is sometimes more important than the product you use.
Good luck!!! )

get some black eyeliner and line the water line (the place under your eyelashes, on the top.) on you're top lashes. and that will make them look a lot thicker.
