What is wrong with having red hair?

This has been bugging me for such a long time now, probably for about 3 years now since I started high school. I have red hair and it seems that people most of the kids in schools really dislike you if you have red hair??? I got skitted a lot because of...

it when I started my first year of high school, but now those people have got to know me better they are really nice to me now. So what is this obssesion with judging a person by there hair colour before you even get to know them??? Please if you may know how this started let me know. Thanks xxx

I have red hair and I LOVE it. It's a color you can't find in a bottle. Very unique! It was the same for me in high school until my senior year when everyone started to grow up! Then I constantly got comments on how gorgeous my hair was. When it comes down to it, I feel it's pure jealously! Now my daughter has red hair and I always get comments on how cute red heads are. So who cares what people are saying now, they're just mad that they have the same hair color as a billion other people in the world.
