What is high school musical?

What is High School Musical? Is it a disney movie or is it some sort of off-broadway theater production? And why the heck is it so popular with a name like High School Musical?

Well..it's like both it started on Disney Channel and it became a HUGE hit and it went into theater in Broadway. It stars the acters: Zac Eferon, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Monique Carter, Corbin Bleu (the guy who just got a cd out) and some more. It's like a story about a bunch of high school students and well it's a musical too..last year it was a nation wide hit. You can look it up on google there are many links to it there and well..maybe go to one of ther concerts.lol

ITS A MOVIE AND HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL IS A GOOD NAME I DON'T KNOW HOW THERE IS going to BE A PART 3 BECAUSE THEIR GOING TO COLLEGE

the part 3 is about their senior year that's why it's call HSM3: Senior Year and the HSM4 cast is going to be all new artist
